Job Requirements
You will be responsible for the complete set up, running and maintenance of our HP Indigo 6900 digital roll printing under the direction of the Pressroom Team Leader. You will be accountable to meet the quality standards for color matching, scaling, and overall print quality of packaging label materials.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in running a narrow web label or packaging press. We are willing to re‑train the right individual that has demonstrated strong mechanical and computer abilities to operate the latest digital press technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced flexo pressman to expand their skills to be proficient as a Lead Digital Press Operator.

You must be able to work with minimal direction, lift up to 80 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and be able to work occasional overtime and weekends on short notice.
Shift: 40 hrs / week. 2nd shift: 3 pm – 1 am, available Monday‑Thursday. Start pressing and pull proofs to check for ink coverage and density, alignment, and registration.
While working that shift, you will examine job orders to determine quantities to be printed, stock specifications, colors, or special printing instructions. Verify that paper and ink meet the specifications for a given job. Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any necessary adjustments. Feed paper through press cylinders and adjust feed and tension controls. Monitor automated press operation systems and respond to fault, error, or alert messages.
Load presses with paper and make necessary adjustments, according to paper size.
Clean ink fountains, plates, or printing unit cylinders when press runs are completed. Change press plates, blankets, or cylinders as required. Input production job settings into workstation terminals that control automated printing systems. Maintain time or production records.
Other Experience and QualificationsFlexographic or other print experience is beneficial, but not required. Mechanical aptitude and computer literacy are necessary skills to operate the digital press. You must be able to work with minimal direction, lift up to 80 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and have good vision to inspect print and sometimes fine text.
