- Set up, operate, tend, and maintain bindery equipment
- Inspect equipment for malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems
- Perform both machine and manual operations to complete bindery and finishing processes
- Review job tickets to identify special instructions, bindery functions, stock specifications, sizes, and quantities
- Ensure dated samples are placed in each job folder
- Send completed jobs to quality check
- Assist with deliveries as needed
- Support digital production as trained over time, including:
- Large-format printing
- Digital presses
- Keep production areas stocked and alert the Production Manager when supplies need to be reordered
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented, because we don’t miss a beat.
- Can juggle multiple responsibilities while keeping a sense of humor.
- Brings a team-first mentality and is ready to help wherever needed.
- Understands print and mailing processes or is eager to learn.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment and tools
- Enjoyment of hands-on, physical, and sometimes repetitive work
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40–75 pounds, including boxes of paper and materials (sometimes up and down stairs)
- Good organizational skills and follow-through
- Ability to read and understand job tickets and instructions
- Ability to problem-solve both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A hearty sense of humor and a team-first attitude
Printing or bindery experience is a plus but not required.
If you’re mechanically and tangibly inclined, we can train you.
