Where you’ll work

This role is based at our flagship frozen pizza manufacturing facility on Canal Street in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley—a state‑of‑the‑art facility that includes an on‑site bakery, high‑speed packaging lines, and a 24‑hour shipping operation. Our Maintenance Team contributes to Palermo’s success by ensuring that our Plant operates at a world‑class level with production uptimes over 98%.

When you’ll work

This is a full‑time, exempt role with a primary schedule on 1st shift. Success in this position requires consistent engagement with all three shifts to lead effectively and build strong relationships across the team.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department across multiple shifts.
  • Supervise Maintenance Leads and Technicians; provide direction, coaching, and support.
  • Manage preventive and reactive maintenance to meet production goals.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely repairs (mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment).
  • Review and prioritize work orders; ensure accurate documentation.
  • Partner with Reliability and Training Managers on process improvements and upskilling.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and parts as needed.
  • Enforce safety standards and housekeeping expectations.
What You Bring
  • 5–8+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification required; bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Hands‑on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and computerized maintenance systems
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or other enterprise maintenance systems preferred
  • Experience in food manufacturing or a highly regulated environment preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office;
    Work Synergy/Work Forge familiarity is a plus
