This role is based at our flagship frozen pizza manufacturing facility on Canal Street in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley—a state‑of‑the‑art facility that includes an on‑site bakery, high‑speed packaging lines, and a 24‑hour shipping operation. Our Maintenance Team contributes to Palermo’s success by ensuring that our Plant operates at a world‑class level with production uptimes over 98%.
When you’ll workThis is a full‑time, exempt role with a primary schedule on 1st shift. Success in this position requires consistent engagement with all three shifts to lead effectively and build strong relationships across the team.
What You’ll Do- Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department across multiple shifts.
- Supervise Maintenance Leads and Technicians; provide direction, coaching, and support.
- Manage preventive and reactive maintenance to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely repairs (mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment).
- Review and prioritize work orders; ensure accurate documentation.
- Partner with Reliability and Training Managers on process improvements and upskilling.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and parts as needed.
- Enforce safety standards and housekeeping expectations.
- 5–8+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience
- Associate’s degree or technical certification required; bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Hands‑on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and computerized maintenance systems
- Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP or other enterprise maintenance systems preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing or a highly regulated environment preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office;
