HiFyve is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry in the Greater Milwaukee, WI area!

Pay Rate: $28 - $35/hr

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Shift: 1st Shift (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical and hydraulic repairs, troubleshooting, and installation/modification of manufacturing machinery.
  • Execute the facility's preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose machine malfunctions by inspecting equipment and consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
  • Utilize a wide range of tools, including precision measuring instruments, power tools, hoists, saws, and wrenches.
  • Dismantle and repair defective equipment parts, including gears, shafts, bearings, and belts.
  • Apply fabrication, welding, and millwright skills to maintain or improve shop infrastructure.
  • Clean, lubricate, and monitor fluid levels and filters for motors, drives, and pressure regulators.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and internal teams while participating in safety and OSHA training initiatives.
Education Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma required;
    Technical training, certificate in Maintenance, or an Associate degree in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Experience in a foundry or high-alloy casting environment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and manage repair tasks independently.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with both internal team members and external vendors.
  • Safety Mindset: Deep commitment to maintaining a safe shop environment and following OSHA standards.
  • Blueprint Reading: Skilled in interpreting technical manuals and mechanical drawings for diagnostic purposes.
