Split Weld Supervisor – Global Power Components
Location:
Milwaukee, WI
Manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures seeks an experienced Split Shift Weld Supervisor to manage MIG거 welders, coordinate production, and support a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate daily activities of MIG welders/fabricators and delegate job responsibilities to appropriate employees.
- Train and motivate staff to meet demanding manufacturing requirements and schedules.
- Assist with tasks as necessary to complete assignments.
- Test products/equipment for defects and malfunctions.
- Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures.
- Communicate changes and updates to employees regarding processes and procedures.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Minimum of four (4) years manufacturing facility shop‑floor experience.
- Ability to measure, compare, and perform shop calculations to ensure product compliance with engineering or sales specifications.
- Experience reading blueprints and working with steel.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience leading shop‑floor employees and motivating them to complete jobs accurately and on time.
- Detail‑oriented, customer‑focused.
