Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Terminals Department

There is an opening on 2nd shift (Monday - Friday; 2pm - 10pm). Manages day to day operations of the Terminals Department including supervising direct report employees, scheduling production, inventory control, and housekeeping.

Responsible for continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, manufacturing, tooling, 5S, and production.

Responsibilities
  • Embrace and follow the Core Beliefs and Values of Stryten Energy.
  • Safety is our overriding priority. If an unsafe condition is found, act immediately to correct the situation.
  • Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations. Review work areas for safety compliance.
  • Ensure all employees are wearing proper PPE.
  • Assign employees to the jobs they are to perform for the shift; explain and teach them what they need to do.
  • Ensure all employees are performing jobs correctly and safely.
  • Provide employees with the tools and paperwork required for their jobs.
  • Monitor shift activities to maximize material and labor utilization and minimize scrap.
  • Communicate with outgoing and incoming Supervisors to review production schedule and any issues.
  • Complete all daily production paperwork and timecards accurately.
  • Complete all daily and weekly supervisor checklists and audits as assigned by manager.
  • Ensure all jobs are done according to the bill of materials, correct materials, packaging, labels, and first shot approval.
  • Complete QA and CMM checks as required.
  • Propose and implement improvements to reduce product cost, increase output, improve machine uptime, and provide a safer work environment.
  • Involve employees in investigating and solving customer, operational, and safety issues.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping and organization of material/equipment and product flow.
  • Train direct reports on their responsibilities and complete required documentation weekly.
  • Administer performance reviews and coach personnel to improve performance.
  • Attend all management meetings, safety committee meetings, and employee meetings as required.
  • Administer company rules, policies, and procedures and be responsible for employee behavior, morale, and well‑being.
  • Complete hazardous waste training and comply with hazardous waste handling procedures.
  • Follow ISO 9000 requirements and maintain ISO documents.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supervising or managing a manufacturing production team and experience leading continuous improvement projects.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Good attendance and performance history.
  • Motivated self‑starter who can work alone and in groups to solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate accurately with all levels of management.
  • Ability to efficiently create and modify engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, verbal).
