Plating Technician IV
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay Rate: $24.36 per hour
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Available (hours vary)
The Plating Technician IV is a senior-level role responsible for performing advanced electroplating and metal finishing processes while ensuring high-quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient production. This position requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex plating operations including setup, processing, and teardown of plating tanks
- Monitor chemical baths, adjust concentrations, temperatures, and voltages as needed
- Inspect plated parts to ensure adherence to quality and thickness specifications
- Troubleshoot plating defects and process issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations
- Assist with training and mentoring lower-level plating technicians
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Work closely with quality and production teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines
- Minimum 4+ years of plating or metal finishing experience
- Strong knowledge of electroplating processes, chemicals, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and safety data sheets (SDS)
- Experience using measurement and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
