Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Terminals Department

Manages day to day operations of the Terminals Department including supervising direct report employees, scheduling production, inventory control, and housekeeping. Improves and advances the terminal department through continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, manufacturing tooling, 5S, and production.

Shift

2nd shift (Monday - Friday; 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM).

Responsibilities
  • Embrace and follow the Core Beliefs and Values of Stryten Energy.
  • Following safety is the overriding priority; correct unsafe conditions immediately and keep all team members safe while restoring equipment operation quickly.
  • Enforce all safety rules, review work areas for compliance, investigate, document, and report safety incidents and near‑misses before leaving the shift.
  • Ensure all employees wear proper PPE.
  • Assign employees to their jobs for the shift, explaining tasks and providing necessary training.
  • Verify employees perform jobs correctly and safely, including accurate downtime, scrap records, quality checks, production paperwork and job cards.
  • Provide tools and paperwork needed for proper task execution.
  • Monitor shift activities to maximize material and labor utilization, minimize scrap, achieve set‑up and run‑time expectations, and record press cycle times.
  • Communicate with outgoing and incoming supervisors to review the production schedule, change‑over schedule, and any issues.
  • Complete all daily production paperwork and timecards accurately before leaving.
  • Complete all daily and weekly supervisor checklists and audits as directed by the manager.
  • Ensure all jobs follow the bill of materials, correct materials, packaging, and labels.
  • Ensure all jobs have an approved first‑shot approval.
  • Perform required QA and CMM checks.
  • Propose and implement improvements to reduce product cost, increase output, increase machine uptime, reduce expenses, and create a safer work environment.
  • Involve employees in investigating and solving customer, operational, and safety issues.
  • Maintain general housekeeping, material/equipment organization, and product flow, including housekeeping projects assigned by the Site Manager.
  • Train direct reports on responsibilities, follow orientation and training guidelines, and complete required documentation weekly.
  • Administer performance reviews and coach all personnel to improve performance, including evaluating new hires before hiring.
  • Attend all management meetings, safety committee meetings, and all employee meetings as required by upper management.
  • Supervise employee behavior, morale, and well‑being on the shift, and enforce company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete all required hazardous waste training and comply with all hazardous waste and handling procedures.
  • Follow ISO 9000 requirements, create and maintain ISO documents, and implement changes as updated.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned to meet the business needs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supervising or managing a manufacturing production team and leading continuous improvement projects.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Good attendance and performance history.
  • Motivated self‑starter capable of working independently and in teams to solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime on an as‑needed basis.
  • Excellent personal interaction, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence peers and direct reports.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritization ability in changing situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Clear communication with all levels of management.
  • Ability to create and modify engineering drawings accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
