GMAW Fabrication Specialist

Location:

Milwaukee, WI 53224

Picture your day beginning with a fresh stack of prints and a clear production schedule. You review the drawings, set up your station, and lay down precise GMAW (MIG) welds on a mix of components. You check your work against specs, keep your area tidy, and coordinate with teammates so orders ship on time. Between jobs, you perform quick preventive maintenance on your equipment and jump into skills training to keep sharpening your craft.

What

you will do
  • Execute high-quality MIG welds across various metals and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet exact specifications.
  • Inspect finished welds and verify quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow all safety practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to hit daily and weekly production targets.
  • Conduct routine upkeep on welding equipment for consistent performance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding trade training preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience in MIG welding or a closely related role.
  • Solid grasp of welding processes, techniques, and shop safety.
  • Ability to read blueprints/technical documents accurately.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform welding tasks.
  • AWS D1.1 certification or the ability to pass the test.
