** Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*** Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations.
* Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.
* Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment.
* Grind and dress fabricated weldments.
* May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments.
*
* Required Qualifications:
*** 3-5 years of FCAW and experience with 10+ multi-pass welds on heavy 2” plate.
* Experience with back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing.
* Must pass 3 weld qualification tests using FCAW large diameter wire (3/32 and .052).
** Top Candidates Will Also Have:
*** Safety first mindset.
* Understanding of quality requirements and ability to execute.
* Ability to read blueprints.
* Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
* Ability to work overtime to support production demands.
** Additional Information:
*** This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI.
* ** 2nd and 3rd shift available (
** may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs)
* Pay is Step 1 $ 32.07 Step 2 $ 33.26 Step 3 $ 34.44 hr plus an additional $1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd Shift
* Full Time (40 hours, 5 days/week)
