Overview
Air Wisconsin Airlines is searching for a Maintenance Base Manager to join our Maintenance Department in Milwaukee, WI. We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills who wants to help develop our Mechanics. We are passionate about aviation and growth, with over 60 years of proven experience.
Operating CRJ-200 jets, our team is dedicated to making travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.
Responsibilities- Promote and foster a safe and secure operating environment.
- Maintain authority and implement a long-term strategy over the base and its resources to meet operational department goals and objectives.
- Ensure procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual are followed and records are complete and accurate.
- Mentor direct reports (leaders) and ensure all team members throughout the base are adequately trained and maintain proficiency and currency as required.
- Forecast efficient scheduling of personnel and use of resources to provide maximum productivity, including availability and serviceability of tooling and equipment.
- Oversee maintenance operations including quality control and assurance, avionics, training, stores activities, and aircraft cleaning.
- Ensure the assigned maintenance facility operates in compliance with FAA, OSHA, TSA, EPA regulations and Company policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to maintain collaborative relationships.
- Administer the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and settle grievances at the appropriate level within the grievance procedure.
- Control and be accountable for the annual budget.
- Identify and implement improvements and efficiencies based on analysis of maintenance reports and performance metrics.
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- 2-4 years’ management experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
- Dexterity, Problem Solving, Analytical Ability
- Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills
