OperationsManager – Holland, MI
Onsite position with 6 Direct Reports.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning
- Create and implement long-term business strategies.
- Develop and monitor budgets and financial plans.
- Analyze market trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Project Management
- Oversee project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and resolve any project issues or conflicts.
- Supply Chain Management
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Control
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and address any legal or regulatory issues.
- Customer Service
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Address any customer complaints or concerns.
- Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Track and analyze key performance indicators.
- Generate reports on operations and present to upper management.
- Use data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
- Team Management
- Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Set goals and KPIs for team members and monitor performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to keep team members updated on trends and strategies.
- Strategic Decision Making – assess complex situations, consider long-term implications, and make decisions that align with the organization’s vision and goals.
- Effective Communication – articulate vision, expectations, and feedback in a way that motivates and engages team members; actively listen to all levels of the organization.
- Fostering Team Growth – invest in the development of team members through mentoring and opportunities for professional growth.
- Bachelor’s in Business Engineering, Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5 years experience in operations leadership or plant management, and at least 5 years as a people manager or equivalent.
- Proven experience in import/export operations with significant supervisory responsibility.
- Expert level understanding of advanced failure analysis techniques.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and making recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Google Analytics, SAP, and various CRM platforms.
- Experience incorporating Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles into daily operations.
The estimated salary range for this position is $96,600 to $173,000 plus an annual bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills, experience, and work location. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package, including:
