Position Overview

The Senior Director, Wholesale Distribution leads the Zurn Elkay sales strategy for all major wholesale accounts and buying groups. This key leader reports directly to the Senior VP, Sales & Customer Experience and serves on the Commercial Leadership team for the business. This leader is responsible for driving rapid and sustainable growth through key distribution accounts and buying groups such as (Ferguson, Hajoca, Reece, Win Supply, TCG, AD, etc.)

while providing thought leadership for the wholesale channel across the organization. This leader is responsible for enhancing key business processes that add value to Our Customers, Our Shareholders, and Our Associates.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver strategic growth plans for all major accounts and buying groups
  • Consistently achieve and exceed budgeted and forecasted growth for key accounts
  • Motivate and manage a team of highly capable National Account Directors to maximize the potential of each key account
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to execute key account plans across marketing, finance, sales ops, customer support and individual BUs
  • Negotiate customer programs and rebate terms to improve overall share and margins
  • Translate national / corporate initiatives to the regional and branch level to ensure the proper execution of all strategies
  • Ensure proper stocking of products in the channel and manage burn / build analytics
  • Oversee the planning and execution of in branch stocking and merchandising programs
  • Deploy branch level insights to the regional level and support reps and regional managers on key actions
  • Establish forward looking account level KPIs
  • Work with channel partners to optimize the buy online pickup in branch experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on a demand generation and performance marketing strategy to support the channel.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and individual BUs to establish SIOP and ensure proper execution across demand planning, purchasing, stocking and OTD.
  • Work with the digital team to integrate operational insights (order status, inventory, delivery, etc.) into digital tools and platforms that add value to our customers.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in B2B Wholesale / Distribution management
  • Minimum of 5 years leading a team of National Sales associates
  • Proven track record of driving national account share gains and margin improvements
  • Hands-on experience implementing customer experience transformation in large, complex manufacturing environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • True passion for delivering a world class experience for our customers
  • High degree of interpersonal and organizational savvy to the role, with the ability to navigate large accounts effectively while gaining buy in from multiple stakeholders across the organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proactive problem solver, detail-oriented and strong degree of accountability
  • Experience working in a high growth and agile environment
  • Ability to motivate and inspire their team
  • Travel up to 50% as needed
