Overview of Role

The Project Manager will maintain a primary focus on construction and preconstruction for the buildout of 7 to 9 data halls, office space, and storage rooms. Practice‑related servicesوية involve managing the delivery of all project management‑related services, and a secondary focus on internal business operations, including active engagement with business development, financial management, and staff development matters. The Project Manager will have significant independent responsibility for assignments including entire projects or portions of projects as determined by the project lead or office manager.

The Project Manager should be able to identify opportunities within a project that will add value and help successfully accomplish the client’s desired project outcome.

Position is located in Port Washington, WI.

Essential Functions
  • Oversee all aspects of construction of 7‑9 data halls, office space, and storage rooms, including design coordination, schedule management, contractor coordination, submittal and RFI management, procurement coordination, meeting management, security access requests, and health & safety.
  • Design coordination: review documents and specifications, process customer RFIs, issue specs, verify compliance in architectural, electrical, mechanical, low‑voltage, and security infrastructure designs.
  • Schedule management: develop milestone schedule, review baseline with contractors, deliver a detailed logic‑linked schedule including WBS breakdown (Preconstruction, Design, Permitting, Submittals, Procurement), and provide weekly schedule updates.
  • Manage contractor coordination through design, including overhead structural supports, basket tray, fiber duct, rack layout, electrical distribution, mechanical plumbing, hot‑aisle containment, electrical busway, and piping.
  • Submittal management: issue and approve submittals via Procore, extract submittals from specs, manage non‑exclusive items such as cabinets (owner‑provided with LV contractor), basket tray, fiber duct, mechanical and electrical drawings, and hot‑aisle containment RFI management.
  • RFI management: process contractor RFIs, respond to project team, maintain document control, and schedule weekly RFI/submittal review meetings via Procore.
  • Coordinate procurement of owner‑furnished contractor‑installed equipment such as cabinets, fiber duct, fiber & copper cabling, prefabricated steel HACs.
  • Meeting management: weekly OAC meetings, contractor design coordination meetings, and submittal review meetings.
  • Security access request management and ensure health & safety processes through Procore.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5‑10 years of experience in a variety of building types and construction management through all phases of construction.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), strong problem‑solving, numeracy, financial management skills; ability to write clear, precise reports and relate complex information to diverse audiences; able to inspire and manage diverse teams.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Often work in an indoor office environment, using computers and standard office machines; essential tasks include working on a computer and answering and speaking on a telephone.
  • टीम work on site locations including ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; body agility important. May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • May also require sitting, standing for long periods of time, walking, carrying, pushing, stooping, crouching, and pulling.
