Overview

In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, you will manage the Valet and Transportation department to ensure guests are parked and secure while they enjoy their time. The Valet and Transportation Manager contributes to our success by demonstrating guest service, integrity, and dedication to our mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation and administration of the Valet and Transportation department, including establishing operational standards, evaluating and adjusting the operation to meet business needs.
  • Perform management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training team members; scheduling and motivating staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff up to termination; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Establish department goals to improve guest service and financial and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement guidelines to ensure all Potawatomi Bingo Casino (PBC) Valet and Transportation vehicles comply with FMCSA state and local laws.
  • Develop the departmental budget and manage within approved parameters; assist Hotel Director in explaining budget variances.
  • Read and interpret financial statements and make managerial decisions based on those interpretations.
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and regulations and oversee management of all DOT dispatch and documentation.
  • Execute programs to improve guest service, team building, efficiency, and morale.
  • Utilize the Computerized Valet Parking System (CVPS) and MICROS registers system.
  • Report motor vehicle violations to Management within 24 hours if assigned driving responsibilities.
  • Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of valet or related experience required;
    Bachelor’s Degree in Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Three years of management or supervisory experience required.
  • One to two years of DOT regulatory experience preferred.
  • Valid, unexpired Wisconsin Driver’s License required.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
  • Complete in-house Responsible Beverage program within 3 months of hire.
  • Office skills including standard office equipment and basic Microsoft Office; MICROS knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail for handling multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to read and interpret documents such as plans and contracts.
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information and to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communication skills to present before groups of guests or team members.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical requirements:

    ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move; occasional up to 50 pounds lift with assistance; PPE required as appropriate; vision requirements as stated.
Working Conditions

The noise level is usually moderate to loud; on the casino floor it can be higher. The facility is not smoke-free, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
