JANITOR – St. Francis Hospital

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time JANITOR position at St Francis Hospital, 3237 South 16th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53215. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule:

Full time, Monday through Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; 3rd shift. Rotating weekends are included. More details to be provided during interview.

Requirement:
Previous floor‑care experience is preferred but not required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour.

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp‑mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to its correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Follow the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
