Janitor​/Driver

The Janitor/Driver is responsible for cleaning and grounds upkeep of The Salvation Army Milwaukee Citadel Corps. Performs basic maintenance, drives Salvation Army vehicles to transport and pick up supplies or donations.

• Cleans all areas of facility following a regular schedule.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, painting, checking, and cleaning filters, snaking and cleaning drains.
• Set-up rooms as required for all meetings.
• Receive and deliver goods/donations to proper place in building.
• Follow schedule for basic maintenance.
• Keep outside grounds and building clean and safe. Perform seasonal work such as snow removal, mowing/ landscaping and raking of leaves.
• Provides support as needed to ensure smooth operations of seasonal programs, including Christmas food/ toy pick ups and kettle collections.
• Assist with property upkeep at Quarters as needed.
• Provide supervisor with list of supplies to order related to building operation.
• Drive Salvation Army vehicles to transport members as assigned during the week.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of van, and completes daily vehicle safety check.
• Confirm pickup/delivery times as needed
• Fuel corps vehicle as needed
• Complete donated food pick-up reports

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Certifications:

Valid Wisconsin Driver's license with approval to drive from The Salvation Army's insurance carrier.

Experience:

Previous commercial cleaning experience is required. Related driving experience helpful.
