Seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee planning, purchasing, and inventory management to support production and customer demand in Hartland, WI. This role manages material requirements, supplier relationships, and ERP accuracy while serving as a key link between suppliers, production, and internal teams to ensure material availability and efficient operations.

Pay: $35 - $40/hour

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and place purchase orders to support production schedules; proactively manage and expedite orders as needed.
  • Monitor planned material requirements and inventory daily; perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies in the ERP system (M1).
  • Own the cycle count program, including variance investigation, corrective actions, and reporting inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and proper closure.
  • Support receiving activities, material documentation, and management of material certifications.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive cost savings, reliability, and effective stock levels.
  • Adjust orders based on schedule changes, BOM updates, obsolescence, and new product introductions.
  • Resolve invoice, PO, and return discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support sales with small quotes, customer orders, and account management.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, etc.).
  • Assist with inter-facility material transfers and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of purchasing or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience purchasing metals and structural materials (aluminum, stainless, carbon steel, coated sheet, weld nuts, PEMS, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and supply chain workflows.
  • ERP experience (purchase orders, inventory transactions, material planning).
  • Proven ability to analyze demand, forecast requirements, and manage supplier relationships.
