Overview
Fitch Johnson Larson, P.A. is hiring a full-time associate attorney. We are an AV-rated insurance defense firm specializing in workers’ compensation litigation in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Workers’ compensation practice provides a unique opportunity to newer attorneys to quickly develop their own skills and practice. Fitch Johnson Larson provides the training and support for newer attorneys to succeed and we also have a thriving and growing practice with ample opportunities for more experienced attorneys.
We are seeking Wisconsin-based candidates for work in our Milwaukee area office. We are open to candidates in other regions of Wisconsin based on experience.
Candidates will be licensed in Wisconsin with zero to three years of experience, though we will also consider applicants with more experience. We are seeking applicants who have performed well in law school and/or the work environment. Past worker’s compensation experience is a plus, but not required. Salary is based on skills and experience.
- Provide legal support to clients and assist Shareholders
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents with precision and clarity
- Developing thoughtful and effective litigation strategies
- Conduct legal research
- Negotiate settlements
- Defend workers’ compensation claims at hearings
- Review documentation and prepare reports while providing updates to attorneys and clients
- Continue to develop an understanding of Workers’ Comp rules and regulations by participating in approved continued education programs
- Ensuring confidentiality
- Accredited Law Degree
- License to Practice Law in the State of Wisconsin
- Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently and timely
- Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
