Assistant Director; IAM

About the Role

We are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Director of IAM to lead and enhance our Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of strategy, delivery, and operations for our enterprise IGA program. Your mission? To drive lifecycle automation, manage access requests and certifications, oversee role/entitlement management, and ensure Segregation of Duties (SoD) while onboarding applications at scale.

The ideal candidate will blend hands-on expertise with IGA technologies (like SailPoint Identity

IQ/Identity Now and Saviynt) and a proven track record in building high-performing teams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a multi-year IAM/IGA strategy that aligns with business priorities, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance.
• Program Ownership: Own the end-to-end IGA program, including identity lifecycle management, access requests/approvals, birthright access, access certifications, SoD policy and mitigation, and role mining/modeling (RBAC/ABAC).
• Team Management: Lead your team with effective communication, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to strategies, goals, budgets, and operating policies as a frontline manager.
• Results-Driven: Translate departmental strategy into IAM security operational objectives, driving results through others.
• Measurement Systems: Integrate and design measurement systems, targets, and initiatives to support various strategies.

• 6-8 years of professional experience in IAM/IGA.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise IGA platforms such as SailPoint Identity
  
  IQ.
• Proven success in automated lifecycle management, access requests/certifications, SoD, and role engineering at scale.
• Relevant certifications in the security space (CISSP, CCSP, etc.) are a plus.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to build effective teams.
• Exceptional analytical abilities for decision-making and problem-solving.
• Experience in Agile methodologies/Dev Ops environments is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to direct teams and individuals to achieve business outcomes.
• Skill in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders across various functions.
• Accountability for maintaining an effective business unit that supports desired outcomes.
• Expertise in organizational design, workforce management, and internal workflows.
• Guidance on interpreting and integrating IAM to support corporate strategies.
• Experience in evaluating and approving risk assessment and management strategies.
