Akkodis is seeking a UX Designer for a Contract job with a client in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC
. The ideal candidate will lead end‑to‑end UX processes—research, strategy, ideation, design, and delivery—while working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver accessible, high‑quality user experiences.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead full‑cycle UX design from discovery to delivery across digital products and features.
- Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, heuristic reviews, and usability testing.
- Develop personas, journey maps, task flows, and information architectures.
- Create wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction design specifications.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate concepts into functional product outcomes.
- Use data, insights, and customer feedback to iterate and improve designs.
- Ensure all UX deliverables comply with brand guidelines, accessibility standards (WCAG), and UX best practices.
- Facilitate design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques.
- Contribute to and enhance design systems and maintain reusable UI components.
- Advocate for user‑centered design across teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field.
- 5–8 years of UX design experience building web and/or mobile digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX processes, problem‑solving, research, and high‑quality designs.
- Expertise with UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, IA, interaction design, and user‑centered methodologies.
- Experience leading UX research and synthesizing qualitative/quantitative data.
- Ability to create flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to justify design decisions.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum product teams.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
