Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Cloud/Platform Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This role is a back‑fill for an existing position and will play a key part in delivering high‑impact, business‑driven cloud initiatives. The engineer will focus on automation and infrastructure design within Azure, supporting both internal platform development and external application modernization efforts.

• Azure AI Search integration and modernization of on‑prem applications for off‑network availability.
• Platform‑as‑a‑Product development: automating platform services for application delivery teams.
• Supporting a maturing cloud environment with scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions.

• Design and implement Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates).
• Automate monitoring, scaling, and management of cloud resources.
• Build and maintain Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines and Git Hub action workflows.
• Develop reusable Azure infrastructure modules aligned with business needs.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into automated cloud solutions.
• Provide guidance on Azure best practices and automation strategies.
• Offer training and support to internal teams as needed.
• Contribute to a collaborative and agile team environment.

• Microsoft Azure (resource management, networking, security, governance).
• IaC tools:
  Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM.
• Configuration management:
  Ansible.
• CI/CD and Dev Ops platforms:
  Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions.
• Basic scripting (Power Shell, Bash).
• Cloud fundamentals and cloud‑first design principles.

Intermediate Level

Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay range: $50.00 – $75.00/hr benefits for this temporary role may include:
