Their content studio, based at the Milwaukee headquarters, fuels event technology for major brands through creative collaboration and technical excellence. They’re looking for a Junior Creative Technologist—a tech enthusiast who thrives on hands-on discovery and is eager to apply coding, electronics, and AV troubleshooting skills in real-world event environments.

Duration: Contract-to-hire
Location: Hybrid preferred (Milwaukee, WI area)
Compensation: $30-$35/hour while contracting as W2 employee of Talimer; $55,000–$70,000/year direct hire salary, commensurate with experience
Benefits: All talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 consecutive business days are eligible for medical, dental, & optional vision insurance, life insurance, and PTO accrual. 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match available for enrollment after 90 days
Technology: Talent must provide their own hardware and software unless otherwise noted. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud is required; familiarity with Unity and Touch Designer is a major plus
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement interactive AV installations and event technology, working closely with software and hardware
- Integrate microcontrollers, sensors, and controls into AV production setups
- Support the programming and configuration of lighting, sound, and video control systems (DMX, MIDI, OSC, etc.)
- Assist in AV system setup, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting both pre-event and onsite
- Work with basic electrical circuits and power management for custom installations
- Learn and support signal routing, networking, and control protocols for live events
- Travel occasionally to event sites across the U.S. for hands-on technical support and troubleshooting
- Provide live event support, resolving tech issues under tight timelines
- Engage in ongoing learning, researching new AV tools and trends, and participate in internal R&D projects
- Collaborate with senior technologists to continually grow technical skills in AV production
Required:
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field
- Enthusiasm for technology, software, and creative AV experiences
- Familiarity with low-code platforms and/or microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot in fast-paced settings
- Willing to travel occasionally and work onsite at live events
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with AV, lighting, or event tech
- Familiarity with AV programming, event tech protocols, and show site installations
- Exposure to creative production tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Touch Designer)
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable mindset
