As the Human Resources Assistant with our Corporate team, you'll act as a key player in delivering and monitoring the onboarding experience at Derse, as well as taking lead on various administrative and tactical functions within the HR department. This focus includes maintaining personnel information, owning the review process, as well as taking lead on timely response of various inquiries or claims.

Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities- Provide general administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and other HR team members.
- Administer full cycle of Derse’s company‑wide onboarding process, up to the orientation process. This includes:
- Preparing, organizing, and shipping New Hire Kits and orientation materials
- Arrange New Hires’ First Day agendas and trainings
- Review and document all onboarding activities within Paylocity (HRIS)
- Act as a main point of contact for new employees throughout the onboarding process and into their first day(s).
- In tandem with team HR Generalists, track Derse Mentorship Program and deploy proper communication and surveys.
- Maintain general HR file maintenance – digital payroll folders, I9 digital and physical folders, personnel folders.
- Lead the full‑cycle process of deploying annual and new hire positions reviews.
- Keep consistent review of HR inbox, and review, respond, or direct all appropriate inquiries.
- Take ownership of responding to Verification of Employment and State Unemployment inquiries or claims.
- Conduct various audits to ensure documentation, files, and similar are compliant and / or up to date.
- Assist Human Resources team on monthly activities, special projects, filing, and general maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned from Employee Relations Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Human Resources, and/or 1+ years of relevant HR experience required.
- Working experience in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Previous experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, due date driven environment.
- Effective and professional communication skills required.
