Talent Manager, Employee Relations
Class Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating a broad range of human resource functions. Responsibilities may include administering benefits; performing tasks related to recruitment and onboarding; and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Typical Class Essential DutiesBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; 5–7 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Knowledge- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations;
- Computers and related software;
- Human resources policy and procedure development;
- Benefits practices;
- Employee relations concepts;
- Recruitment practices and procedures;
- Employee orientation requirements;
- Document retention.
- Using computers and related software;
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with laws, rules, and regulations;
- Administering employee benefits;
- Preparing recruitment advertisements;
- Conducting employee orientation;
- Maintaining personnel records;
- Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, and others is sufficient to exchange or convey information.
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
