Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

My firm is pleased to announce a retained search for a Pharmacy Manager/Director role with a $40MM clinical pharmacology unit located in SE WI. This is an exciting opportunity for the right leader to be part of an organization experiencing exponential growth. This is a private company where culture and fit is extremely important. My client is seeking as a servant leader, with a strong coaching mindset who is willing to step in, not sit above their team.

The right candidate is a hands-on leader, who is comfortable working as a pharmacist up to 50% of the time, and willing to flex up during peaks (e.g., FPFVs, dosing windows, audits). This leader will be a part of a collaborative environment working closely with the Site Director, PI, and Pharmacy Technicians.

Thank you for your consideration of this opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a hands-on Pharmacy Manager/Director, comfortable working as a pharmacist up to 50% of the time and flexing up during peak periods (e.g., FPFVs, dosing windows, audits).
  • Lead with a servant leadership approach, coaching and developing team members while collaborating with the Site Director, PI, and Pharmacy Technicians.
Industry Expertise
  • 2–3+ years in clinical research pharmacy OR a strongly regulated parallel environment
  • 5+ years of people leadership/management in a pharmacy or highly regulated clinical setting
  • Experience working under strict protocols, SOPs, and documentation requirements
  • Oncology pharmacy
  • Hospital systems with investigational drug experience
Required Core Competencies
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance (GCP/ICH, FDA, DEA, USP 797/800 if from compounding/background)
  • Meticulous with documentation, chain of custody, and investigational product accountability
  • Familiar with audit readiness culture
  • Able to design/improve workflows, automate efficiencies, and support scale
Preferred Experience
  • Prior clinical trial experience (Phase I preferred but not required with correct background)
  • Experience with IMP handling, randomization/blinded product workflows, and reconciliation
  • Exposure to cold chain, controlled substances, and investigational product storage
