Discover. Achieve. Succeed. #Be Here

The Vice President of Radiology and Imaging Services serves as the senior executive leader responsible for strategic, operational, and financial oversight of imaging services across an 18-hospital, 70-clinic integrated health system. This executive provides vision, leadership, and expertise in the design and delivery of imaging services that support clinical excellence, operational efficiency, growth, and system-wide integration.

Through the merger of Froedtert and Thedacare, this leader will play a pivotal role in unifying imaging operations, aligning clinical and administrative practices, standardizing protocols, and optimizing capital and human resources to create a cohesive, high-performing imaging service line across the enterprise.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a unified, enterprise-wide imaging strategy that aligns with the system's overall clinical and financial goals.
  • Lead the integration of imaging departments from the two legacy health systems into a single, cohesive structure.
  • Treat imaging as a true system-level service line, establishing growth, access, and quality goals to position imaging as a differentiator for patient care and physician alignment.
  • Advance the long-term vision for imaging that drives value creation, efficiency, and scalability across all service sites.
  • Partner strategically with technology and service vendors (e.g., GE, Siemens, Philips, Sodexo) to optimize system-wide pricing, lifecycle management, and technology deployment.
Operational Oversight
  • Oversee all aspects of imaging operations, including hospital- and clinic-based radiology departments, centralized scheduling, pre-authorization, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Establish centralized shared services functions such as PACS, AI integration, vendor-neutral archiving, analytics, HTM/Biomed support, and radiation safety.
  • Ensure standardized imaging protocols, evidence-based utilization management, and consistent quality and safety practices system-wide.
  • Direct labor management, workforce planning, and operational performance improvement initiatives across all imaging sites.
  • Drive efficiency and cost reduction through consolidation, outsourcing (where appropriate), and process redesign.
Clinical and Professional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with physician and professional radiology groups (MCW and Lucent) to ensure effective clinical integration, performance accountability, and alignment on quality and service standards.
  • Support Radiation Safety and Medical Physics programs to maintain regulatory compliance and patient/staff safety.
  • Collaborate with Population Health, Care Management, and Service Line leadership to align imaging utilization with clinical pathways and at-risk population management.
  • Serve as primary liaison and relationship manager with Rayus Radiology partner.
Financial and Capital Management
  • Manage a technology asset portfolio exceeding $250M, ensuring disciplined capital planning, procurement, and value-based vendor negotiations.
  • Oversee imaging financial performance, budgeting, and productivity metrics.
  • Identify and implement value opportunities, including appropriate imaging utilization and reduction of unnecessary inpatient imaging.
Integration and Change Leadership
  • Lead post-merger integration of imaging operations, technology platforms, and culture between the two legacy systems.
  • Design and implement an enterprise-wide governance structure that balances system-wide consistency with regional flexibility.
  • Drive communication, transparency, and engagement across leadership teams and frontline staff during the integration process.
  • Ensure matrixed reporting and regional equity are addressed within the new organizational design.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in imaging or radiology service line management within a complex, multi-site health system.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic integration, operational transformation, and financial stewardship of imaging operations.
  • Proven ability to build physician partnerships, manage large technology portfolios, and lead multi-disciplinary teams through change.
  • Deep understanding of imaging technology, PACS, AI integration, and vendor management strategies.
