Assistive Technology Training

Position Summary

The Assistive Technology Specialist coordinates the purchase of computers, software, tablets, phones, and other assistive technology and adaptive equipment for individuals with disabilities. The role provides timely invoice dispatch, billing, and training on assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and home modification evaluations. The specialist conducts free or fee‑for‑service computer training on a 1:1 or group basis and evaluates services either at no cost or on a fee‑for‑service basis.

The position is Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.

• Provide training on assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and home modification evaluations on a fee‑for‑service basis.
• Offer basic and disability‑specific computer and tablet training to consumers.
• Accept home modification and DVR assessments as time allows.
• Complete documentation, including vendor reports, database documentation, and billing requirements.
• Conduct outreach to recruit consumers and build relationships with potential vendors.
