40. Shift Details:
Monday - Friday.
Under direction collaborates with Sterile Processing Leaders in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating education needs of orientees and continuing education needs of staff. Demonstrates strength in all areas of the processing functions utilizing AAMI Standards and Recommended Principles. Other duties as assigned.
Experience- A minimum of 3 years of technician experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of healthcare related experience in hospital accounting, patient accounting, reimbursement methodologies, or equivalent is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to read and write necessary to interpret and follow equipment operating instructions, distribute instruments to packs and date equipment and supplies; perform simple arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments at a level normally acquired by completion of a high school education or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of Techniques in Central Service or a course in Operating Room Technology is preferred.
- Maintains Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the CBSPD is preferred.
