Job Summary
The EAP Counselor – Senior provides confidential assessment, crisis intervention, short‑term and long‑term counseling, and referrals for Froedtert Health staff. The role also documents all services and may perform additional duties as assigned.
ExperienceMinimum 5 years as a mental health professional, delivering short‑term/ongoing counseling to employees and families; at least 3 years of leadership in a behavioral health setting; experience in employee assistance.
EducationMaster’s or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution.
TrainingKnowledge and experience in two or more core service areas such as addiction disorders, mental health, wellness, work issues, and critical incident stress debriefing.
Special Skills- Advanced knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations related to mental health and EAP.
- Proficiency with computer programs: email, word processing, electronic health records, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Effective oral and written communication with a variety of audiences.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
Licensed by the State of Wisconsin in Professional Counseling, Clinical Social Work, and/or as a Psychologist.
