Echocardiographer – Froedtert Hospital

Milwaukee at Froedtert Hospital facility.
Employment Type: Full-time, FTE: 1.00, Standard
Hours:
40.00, Shift: Shift 1.
Working Hours: 8‑hour shifts with an on‑call weekend and holiday rotation.
Work Location: On‑site.
Sign‑on Bonus: Eligible for up to $10,000.
Job SummaryThe Echocardiographer is responsible for performing transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms, and, under the direction of a trained echocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital. The individual demonstrates increasing competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Allied Health, Ultrasound Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent.
- Graduate or at least 1 year of experience as a cardiac sonographer or echocardiographer.
- Completion of a 12‑month CAAHEP approved school of ultrasound technology or cardiovascular technology, or equivalent education.
- Certification: RDCS or RCS from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or completion of RDCS/RCS within 12 months of employment.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) or equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.
