Pharmacy Technician
LocationMilwaukee, Wisconsin
SchedulePer Diem (mostly weekends with some holidays and occasional weekday coverage)
Compensation$23.00 per hour

- Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including responsible daily operations of the pharmacy within established policies and guidelines.
- Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and independently without providing direct patient care.
- Pick up drug orders at the nursing station(s) and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Deliver the appropriate medication quantities to the correct patient area(s).
- Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
- Maintain drugs in the pharmacy in accordance with the drug formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and filing necessary paperwork.
- Monitor doses administered according to the medication administration record on the narcotics sign‑out record.
- Maintain all forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred unless required by the state.
