Speech & Language Pathologist – Sign on Bonus $3,000

Position SummaryThis role provides thorough evaluations, evidence‑based intervention, and collaborations across teams to enhance student communication and academic success.
Responsibilities- Conduct formal and informal assessments in accordance with state and federal regulations, analyze data, and write comprehensive reports.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, IEP goals, and progress reports for students.
- Provide direct individual or group therapy services, using evidence‑based techniques tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary evaluation team, IEP teams, MTSS teams, and classroom teachers to align services and instructional supports.
- Screen for and address speech, language, and swallowing disorders, including stuttering, delayed language, and voice disorders.
- Use culturally responsive, standardized instruments normed on native or bilingual Spanish speakers, and consult specialists as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and compliance with timelines for evaluations, IEP meetings, and service provision.
- Assist with classroom‑based enrichment and small‑group language activities to support early intervention.
- Manage time, materials, equipment, and schedules efficiently to deliver high‑quality services.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices, research, and ASHA code of ethics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and current Wisconsin licensure as a speech‑language pathologist.
- Certification by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong multi‑tasking, time‑management, and collaborative skills; ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to move around the classroom and school environment, including bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and using stairs.
- Visual and auditory acuity to supervise and respond to classroom needs.
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move educational materials.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers, classroom technology, and teaching tools.
- May require extended screen time for lesson planning and grading.
- Work is performed in a classroom/school/office environment with frequent interaction with students, staff, and families.
- Regular interaction with students, parents/guardians, support staff, and school administration.
- May involve occasional exposure to childhood illnesses, noise, and frequent interruptions.
- Schedule follows the school calendar and may include morning arrival and after‑school responsibilities.
- Noise level is moderate to occasionally loud, typical of a school setting.
- May be required to operate a motor vehicle during the course of duties.
