Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in developing medical policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Serves as the Direct Supervisor of all Medical Providers at the building of oversight, including specialists. Includes conducting the annual evaluation process.
  • In collaboration with the VP of Medical Affairs, design and implement disciplinary actions for direct reports when necessary.
  • Work with the appropriate Development Director to recruit, interview, and onboard new hires.
  • Work with the Clinic Manager to plan site meetings.
  • In collaboration with clinic leaders, implement, monitor, and revise clinical workflows based on clinic-wide initiatives.
  • Review patient satisfaction survey results bi-annually and work with the Clinic Manager to design workflow changes or other interventions based on result trends.
  • Serve as a backup for the Medical Director of Education, QI, and Research to approve all learners that will rotate at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers at any time.
  • Approve Provider Privileging requests.
  • In partnership with Clinic Managers and other Medical Directors, facilitate unity and integration across clinical sites.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed within area of specialty in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Working knowledge of socio-cultural factors associated with the community's use of social and healthcare services is necessary.
  • Ability to understand patient attitude and needs, develop and orient program goals and concepts accordingly and to work effectively toward their accomplishment with all staff members.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, officials, the public, patients, other private and public health organizational representatives, healthcare personnel, and community groups and organizations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and high stress, maintain personal composure, evaluate situations and act/react appropriately, and use tact in dealing with visitors, patients, and difficult situations.
  • Ability to identify and maintain confidential material.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing and oral information/presentations to a wide variety of staff.
  • Ability to interpret and conform program operations to applicable laws, rules, regulations, and funding source requirements and according to acceptable standards.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
