Introduction
The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), Division of Early Care and Education (DECE), Bureau of Child Care Subsidy Administration is currently recruiting to fill a Wisconsin Shares Senior Auditor position. DCF offers great benefits

This position will be headquartered at our Madison or Milwaukee office and will have the option to work hybrid up to 80% of the time. This schedule may change based on training or operational needs. Employees need to report to the 201 W. Washington Ave. Madison, WI office or the 635 N 26 St. Milwaukee, WI office on their first day for onboarding and orientation.
High speed internet access is required to meet the needs of hybrid work.
This position is responsible for conducting audits, reviews, investigations, and quality assurance activities related to the implementation, monitoring, and oversight of program integrity activities related to the Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy and Young Star programs. This position also provides training and technical assistance to counties, Tribes, and other entities responsible for over payment and fraud prevention programs. This position requires knowledge and application of professional accounting and auditing theories and principles and will participate in highly complex audits.
SalaryInformation
The classification title for this position is Auditor – Senior. The starting salary is between $27.68 and $37.34 per hour ($57,574 and $77,667 annually), depending on qualifications. Pay for current State of WI employees will be based on the compensation plan in effect at the time of the appointment. Pay for current state employees who are transferring will be determined based upon the pay on transfer rules as outlined in the compensation plan in effect at the time of appointment.
The pay schedule/range is 07-03. A one-year probationary period may be required.
Due to the nature of the position, final candidates may be required to allow DCF to conduct a security background check to determine whether the circumstances of any pending charges or convictions would be substantially related to the job being filled.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DCF sponsorship). The Department of Children and Families does not sponsor visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.
Driver License Requirement:
The selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy. The candidate must be at least 18 years of age with 2 years driving experience. Candidates with three (3) or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two (2) years, or who have an OWI/DUE violation within the past year are not eligible to drive state vehicles.
