Description
Reporting to the President of the division, the Sr. Finance Director will be responsible for providing finance leadership for the Conveyance Solutions Division of Regal Rexnord, which is within the Automation and Motion Control AMC segment. This division is comprised of 1,600 global associates across 8 global manufacturing sites, producing approximately $500 million in revenue. The preferred location for the role is Milwaukee, WI.
The Sr. Finance Director provides leadership and direction to the division’s global finance team and serves as a key business partner to the President as a member of the Division Leadership Staff. The position will oversee analysis of financial results, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules; strategic planning; budgeting, financial planning; forecasting; financial close; SOX compliance; talent funnel management;
and enhancement of internal controls and procedures. Additional projects include due diligence of new acquisitions, integration of acquisitions, and analysis of current operating procedures to ensure adoption of best business practices in conjunction with RBS. The Sr. Finance Director will make recommendations to improve operating results and implement proper tracking and reporting processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Act as a key business partner to the President, informing leadership of financial implications of business decisions.
- Provide leadership to the divisional finance team; coach, invest in talent development, and increase engagement across the global function.
- Perform all FP&A reporting to executive management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Oversee the 3‑Year Strategy Planning process, coordinating with Commercial, Engineering, and Operations functions to present to the ELT and develop long‑term financials.
- Own the annual budget process, working with plant controllers and division leadership to set direction and establish financial targets.
- Direct the monthly forecasting process with all division operating plants as well as consolidation and corporate reporting; lead the monthly close process and financial operating reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in recurring financial processes through technology, standard operating procedures, and other efficiency measures, embracing Regal Rexnord’s 80/20 principles.
- Ensure application and compliance with Regal Rexnord accounting policies, US GAAP, IFRS and all applicable laws.
- Manage and drive completion of all internal and external audits, report on root causes, remediation plans, and status, and pursue timely closures of findings.
- Partner with other functions and serve as lead financial support for division projects including 80/20 execution, pricing strategy, and footprint optimization.
- Provide real‑time coaching and development opportunities to finance team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced degree and/or a CPA is strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant and progressive accounting/finance experience, including global financial leadership, public accounting, and/or manufacturing experience with consolidations, audits, financial reporting, and public company finances.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with multi‑site responsibility is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross‑functional collaboration and influence resources outside one’s direct responsibility.
- Ability to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area while also diving into transactional detail to resolve questions or issues.
