About The Role:
The Account Transaction Specialist at Baird delivers high‑quality operational support to both internal partners and clients, while upholding our culture, values, and commitment to exceptional service. The position is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and overseeing ACH and other standing account instructions, serving as a key resource for related inquiries across retail accounts. Responsibilities also include reviewing client check deposits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm requirements, and responding to advisor and client requests with accuracy and timeliness.
Through strong problem‑solving and collaboration, this role contributes to continuous improvements in efficiency and service excellence.
- Provide high value service to internal and external clients in an environment that promotes Baird’s culture and the Operations mission and values statement.
- Set up, maintenance and monitoring of client instructions to establish bank ACH instructions and other standing account instructions.
- Serves as the main point of contact for ACH setup and maintenance related questions for both retail and IRA accounts.
- Review and approval of client check deposits.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, Baird policies, and department procedures and policies.
- Answer and/or initiate Financial Advisor and Client Specialist contact; answer routine questions and follow through on requests including the ability to analyze and resolve client inquiries in a timely manner.
- Contribute to productivity, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to drive exceptional client service.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 2+ years of experience in a financial services operations role is a plus. Prior customer service experience and banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure and within deadlines to produce accurate, high‑quality results.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, monitor, and complete multiple tasks or projects, either independently or collaboratively within a team.
- The ability to effectively relate to work in a team‑oriented setting.
- Passion for providing high‑value client service.
- Ability to stay focused under pressure and to prioritize workload in order to effectively manage time.
- Proven reliability in performance.
