We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst to support portfolio accounting and investment operations functions. This role is responsible for reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, risk mitigation, and process improvement initiatives across separate accounts, bank loans, and complex derivatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong investment operations experience, the ability to work independently, and the communication skills necessary to collaborate effectively with custodians and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly separate account reconciliations between internal accounting systems, trading platforms, and custodians.
  • Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead escalation efforts with custodians and external parties to resolve breaks and address root causes of recurring issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen operational controls.
  • Support deployment of new products and services as part of cross-functional project teams.
  • Provide daily cash support and assist with complex derivatives and bank loan operational activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve controls across portfolio accounting and reconciliation functions.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in investment operations or related financial services roles.
  • Experience working with bank loans and derivatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and mitigate operational risk.
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mid- or back-office functions such as trade support, performance, portfolio operations, or client administration.
  • Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, Wall Street Office (WSO), and SS&C Recon.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and general proficiency with tools such as MS Access and Power BI.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment while maintaining focus and execution excellence
