I am looking to hire a full-time Controller role for a reputable nonprofit company here in Milwaukee (53212
) . This role will be permanent and is looking to interview right away!
Schedule:
M-F, 8am – 4pm Hybrid:
Yes, willing to offer some hybrid capabilities based on workload/time of month Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and maintain the integrity of general ledger.
- Supervise, direct, and review the work of accounting staff, including cash reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, loans receivable, fixed assets, debt activity, grant accounting, and revenue and expense recording.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal and state regulations, and grant and contract requirements.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 5-7+ years of nonprofit experience/supervisory background
