Deposit Operations Specialist – First Federal Bank of Wisconsin, Brookfield, WI

Salary: $41,714 - $65,000 (full‑time)

Summary / Overview

Perform various duties in the Operations Department. Assist the Deposit Operations Manager with projects and tasks as assigned. Run reports, analyze data, provide dashboards, and support strategic management objectives. Offer excellent telephone and in‑person service to internal partners and customers, addressing account concerns and regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development of new products, forms, and changes to the account opening process.
  • Administer the deposit product system, including specification changes, research, and system feature updates.
  • Participate in bank projects to improve processes and customer service.
  • Evaluate processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, risk control, and service improvement.
  • Create and analyze recurring reports on wire transfers, ACH, remittances, debit cards, fraud, Regulation E disputes, etc., reporting findings to the Deposit Operations Manager and SVP Operations.
  • Serve as backup IT administrator and support Digital Transformation projects, helpdesk tasks, and related activities.
  • Create, update, and maintain workflows in the Teslar system.
  • Provide management feedback on critical customer issues and recommend actions for remediation.
  • Coordinate training materials, forms, and procedures; conduct training for Deposit Operations staff and internal partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, staying current on Deposit Operations concepts and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal partner inquiries related to deposit accounts, debit/ATM cards, account titling, and electronic banking products.
  • Serve as backup to the BSA Department for ITIN administration, account document verification, BSA reporting, remittance transfers, etc.
  • Serve as backup to the Deposit Operations team for daily tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Other Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate compliance with the First Federal Bank of Wisconsin employee handbook, policies, and all state and federal banking regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Qualifications / Skills

Sound knowledge of bank financial services and philosophy. Leadership and strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, and diplomatic handling of vendors and employees. Proficient computer skills, problem‑solving ability, multitasking, flexibility, and a flexible schedule.

Requirements

Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of financial industry or equivalent experience. Experience with reports and large datasets. Accuracy and attention to detail. Technological proficiency.
