How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Airgas is hiring for an Operations & Welding Process Specialist. Base Pay: $90k-100k plus bonus. Auto allowance and mile reimbursement. Based out of Madison, WI;
Milwaukee, WI; or Chicagoland.

• Act as a Subject Matter Specialist aligning welding engineering with operational excellence.
• Visit internal field plants and external client sites to evaluate existing welding processes.
• Look through an operational lens to identify bottlenecks, suggest safer techniques, and propose advanced technologies that enhance efficiency and safety.
• Conduct "Weld Surveys" and "Efficiency Analyses" to recommend meaningful improvements.
• Advance the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to contribute to growth of capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions.
• Provide support and share expertise on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma/laser integration.
• Act as a mentor to the wider Welding Specialist team; provide onsite product and application training for customers to upskill their workforce and foster development.
• Coordinate the installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
• Collect and report on market trends, industry activities, and customer needs.

• Reliable transportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance as required by state of vehicle registration.
• 4+ years of experience within the welding or industrial industry, or similar background with deep understanding of the field.

• Welding Engineering Degree or military welding training, Bachelor’s in Engineering, or equivalent formal welding experience.
• Exposure to technical sales or consultative background.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Membership within AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME, and/or SME.
