Job Description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Drafter to support drafting and detailing for precast concrete projects within the commercial construction sector. This role focuses on producing high‑quality shop drawings for components such as columns, beams, wall panels, and other precast elements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and work closely with engineers, designers, drafters, and clients to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.

Responsibilities

+ Create detailed and accurate shop drawings for precast concrete projects.

+ Support commercial projects including educational facilities, parking structures, stadiums, and more.

+ Draft and detail precast elements such as columns, beams, and wall panels.

+ Collaborate with engineers, designers, and fellow drafters to interpret project requirements.

+ Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout all construction documents.

Essential Skills

+ Strong proficiency in drafting and developing construction documents.

+ Experience using Revit and AutoCAD for structural detailing and shop drawings.

+ Understanding of precast concrete systems and structural drafting principles.

+ Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate degree in Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, or a related technical field.

+ Previous experience in precast or structural drafting is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment

+ Collaborative environment working closely with engineers, designers, and other drafters.

+ Daily use of Revit and AutoCAD to produce detailed construction documents.

+ Involvement in commercial projects with opportunities to contribute to large‑scale, high‑impact designs.

+ Supportive and dynamic team atmosphere focused on quality and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
