Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site (Monday-Friday) with occasional travel to jobsites (up to 20% of time with an open schedule based on customer needs).
Compensation:
- $100-110k annual salary based on experience.
- Quarterly production bonus.
Clearwater Industries is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support & manage the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of our water clarification systems. This hands-on role combines electrical expertise with team leadership and includes both in-shop and occasional off-site work. Ideal candidates bring experience in industrial automation, PLC/HMI programming, and a strong commitment to quality and collaboration.
ABOUT USClearwater Industries is a Milwaukee-based manufacturer specializing in industrial water clarification equipment. Our products include flocculant preparation systems, pump skid assemblies, fines recovery systems, and both stationary and portable water clarifiers. These systems integrate weldments, tanks, piping, purchased components, motors, sensors, and controls. Additionally, we provide a wide array of clarifying chemistries services for our clients, from jar testing to "last mile" logistics, ensuring the optimal solution is provided.
Working with leading chemical manufacturers allows us to serve industries worldwide, including sand and gravel, tunneling, drilling, paper production, power generation, dredging, and municipal water treatment.

- Ongoing Support
- Customer Service tickets
- Correspondence with panel builders and related electrical services
- Factory Acceptance Testing on all equipment
- Off-site commissioning with customers
- Department Management
- Manage electrical team
- Manage electrical task completion
- Systems & Standard Operating Procedures Maintenance
- Formal educational certificates in industrial automation required
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Maple Systems, and Lenze products preferred
- Experience in Ethernet IP network design required
- Knowledge of NEC
- Experience in AutoCAD electrical is strongly preferred
- Effective communication skills with internal team, customers, and vendors
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team setting
- Self-starter, able to work through technical issues efficiently
- Panel schematic design skills
- HMI/PLC programming knowledge
