Base Pay Range$70,000 – $95,000 per year

About the TeamJacobs’ Transportation Group covers rail, bridges, highways, aviation, and port planning. As a new team member, you’ll work on:
- Rail and transit multimodal facilities, automated guideways, paratransit systems, and more.
- Bridges and tunnels—including design, construction management, and inspection.
- Highways and roads planning, design, and maintenance.
- Aviation infrastructure and operations.
- Ports and marine‑time services, including capital projects and maintenance.
You will assist in preparing planning studies, alternative analyses, impact assessments, and technical reports. Working under the direction of a project manager or senior planner, you’ll perform tasks such as:
- Conduct site investigations and engineering calculations.
- Develop design drawings using CAD software.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications and environmental impact assessments.
- Engage in roadway alignment design, traffic signal timing, bridge structural analysis, and transit capacity studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation/Urban Planning, or related field.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Familiarity with CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD, Micro Station, Open Roads, Geopak).
- Strong self‑motivation, problem‑solving, team orientation, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Prior internship or project experience in transportation planning or engineering, including traffic impact studies and preliminary engineering reports.
