Position DescriptionOversee and direct preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for an Advanced Technology project supporting Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segment groups.
Reports toProject Manager, Project Executive
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives to ensure alignment with client goals from initiation to completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract documents (including Turner's contract, plans, specifications, and applicable codes).
- Lead, supervise, and develop Turner MEP staff, including input on or completion of performance appraisals.
- Oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates.
- Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close‑out processes.
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in design, cost, sequence, logistics, and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems (or equivalent). Able to identify design features that command cost premiums and recommend alternatives. Demonstrated ability to present technical material. LEED accreditation preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of project management and scheduling software desirable.
Ability to implement leading‑edge technologies. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to climb stairs, use hoists, ladders, and negotiate construction areas. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Use of hands for tools, sit, talk, hear, stand, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl. Close, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentModerate noise. Exposure to airborne particles or caustic chemicals. Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
