Our client, a manufacturing company near Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a design‑oriented background to join their engineering team. This position is ideal for an engineer with strong fundamentals who enjoys hands‑on design and technical problem‑solving, and who wants to grow deeper into product development.
Electrical Engineer (design for power electronics)This role offers training in advanced engineering concepts related to power electronics and magnetic component design, building your skills toward designing and developing custom transformers, inductors, and chokes for power electronics while contributing to real customer‑driven projects from concept through production.
Responsibilities- Support the design and development of electrical and high‑frequency magnetic components
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop customer‑specific solutions
- Assist with simulations, modeling, and analysis
- Perform testing, validation, documentation, and design updates
- Optimize designs for efficiency, thermal performance, and manufacturability
- Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, and other safety and performance standards
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical review, and design execution
- Maintain drawings, specifications, BOMs, and test documentation
- Support customer technical questions related to designs and applications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required
- Experience or exposure to electrical design or product development required
- Strong technical fundamentals and interest in design‑based work required
- Familiarity with CAD or electrical design tools required
Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr – $/yr. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, Life & Disability Insurance, Holidays, and PTO. Job type:
Full‑time, On‑site. Typical hours:
Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week. Travel: up to 1–2 weeks per year.
