Engineering Technician II – Civil

MSA Professional Services invites you to apply for the Engineering Technician II – Civil role. The Engineering Technician supports engineers and designers by performing project tasks such as CAD drafting, plan set development, detailing, code reviews, submittal review, construction services, site observations, survey and staking, and other field work as necessary. This position is in our Public Works Service Line, handling a wide variety of project types such as utilities, sanitary/sewer, roads, wastewater, etc.

- Construction inspection on a variety of municipal projects
- Quantity verification and contractor communication
- Reviewing and understanding design plans
- Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
- Construction staking
- Wastewater, street, sewer, and water utility design in Civil 3D
- Completing redline revisions to plans
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred
- 2 or more years of related experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Prior experience with Civil 3D preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer, no sponsorship provided
Compensation ranges from $24 to $39 per hour, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
