GIS Analyst
Join HDR as a GIS Analyst where we empower employee‑owners to create a welcoming environment that values authentic voices and novel ideas. As part of our Power sector, you’ll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered as global energy demands grow. You’ll work side‑by‑side with our engineers and scientists to contribute to reliable, resilient and sustainable power systems.
In this role, you will:
- Support GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projects
- Mentor other GIS professionals
- Participate in project marketing, budget development and resource scheduling
- Design and produce cartographic products for various purposes
- Independently conduct advanced spatial analyses using ArcGIS and other tools
- Support field data collection using ArcGIS Online apps and associated data management
- Develop vector and raster spatial analysis models
- Support CAD‑GIS workflows
- Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals
- Perform other duties as needed
- Esri Certification
- GISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 3 years of practical GIS experience; advanced degree may offset the required years of experience
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and extensions such as 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Apps
- Working knowledge of interoperability tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Expected range: MN – $70,560 – $100,800. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time off, parental leave, holidays, retirement savings plan with employer match, referral bonus, tuition reimbursement. (Full‑time only)
