We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Designers across various service territories. This position provides design support to Field Operations Service Centers and Major Projects. Currently, vacancies exist at the following locations:
Monroe, WI;
West Allis, WI;
West Bend, WI;
Appleton, WI; and Burlington Service Center.

• Provide design engineering cost details and analysis.
• Perform problem‑solving and third‑party authorizations in a cost‑effective manner for new services orders, rewires, system maintenance, facility relocations, and other orders as assigned.
• Integrate knowledge, experience, governmental codes, industry standards, and company requirements to solve technical problems safely and cost‑effectively, satisfying energy service needs.
• Provide technical support and coordinate between outside contractors, consultants, other utilities and governmental agencies.
• Ensure that the system meets company, governmental, and customer performance and safety standards, thereby ensuring system integrity.
• Work with various software applications in a Windows environment.

• Minimum qualification:
  
  An associate’s degree or equivalent education in electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, electronic, utilities engineering, or similar technology.
• Equivalent education in renewable energy, drafting and design, geospatial surveying, and geographic information systems is acceptable.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years of equivalent utility or engineering design experience in gas, electric or communications utility design, electrical, mechanical, civil, or architectural design.
• Valid driver’s license and meet the company’s driving requirements.
• For some locations, compliance with DOT Part 199 pipeline drug and alcohol testing.
• Official transcripts required; must be submitted to HR within ten (10) days of the posting closing date.
