- Utilize CFD tools to solve physics-based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion, and condensation controls.
- Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant computational fluid dynamics research in the building mechanical field and apply proactive research insights.
- Document, report, and present engineering solutions to design teams and clients.
- Work independently while communicating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical Systems.
- Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with CFD analysis software such as FloEFD, STAR‑CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, or 6
Sigma Room. - Familiarity with writing User Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial CFD software.
- Programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, planning, organizing, decision‑making, and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to present research findings clearly.
- Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
Expected salary: $91,000 – $129,000.
